Get in Touch

This is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, verify a release, post bond, obtain an official booking record, or act for a jail or court. Contact the responsible government office directly for those services.

Find the Right Official Office

Use the office whose records match the question. The county booking and records page explains the official search views and record-request path. A booking record is not the same as a court disposition, a city police incident report, state custody status, or an active-warrant confirmation.

  • For a current county custody result, recent admission, or release window, use the sheriff-linked Citizen Connect booking search.
  • For a county booking record or photo request, use the Sheriff Public Records Request Coordinator and Roane County’s Public Records Policy.
  • For a court case, docket, or disposition, contact the clerk or use the Roane County Courts and Tennessee public court routes.
  • For an active-warrant question, follow the sheriff and originating-clerk process described on Sheriff's Most Wanted.
  • For a state prisoner or supervision record, use TDOC FOIL. Federal and immigration custody have separate BOP and ICE locators.

Roane Sheriff and Jail Records

For sheriff records, jail-held booking information, or a request under the county policy, use the published records contact below. The sheriff’s general number and the records line serve different published functions.

The county Public Records Policy identifies Form A for copy requests and says a Tennessee citizen may need to provide acceptable proof of citizenship. Ask for a defined person, date range, and record type. Inspection is listed as free; the policy lists copy, actual-cost, and potential labor charges.

Roane County Courts

For a case, hearing, disposition, or court-record question, start with the Roane County Courts hub. It links to the public court-record route. A booking event can occur before a case is searchable, and a court case can continue after release.

For a warrant, arrest, trial, or court document, Tennessee court guidance directs people to the clerk where the case originated. The public court-record system can help locate a case, but it is not a live warrant-status guarantee.

City Police Records

City police records and county jail booking records may be held by different custodians. Request a police incident record from the city source and a county booking photo from the sheriff coordinator when appropriate.
